Turf Cigarette cards created by Alexander Boguslavsky, Ltd. 1923
From the late 19th century to early 20th, cards were included in cigarette packs as a way ‘stiffen’ the packaging. Cigarette cards were also a way to advertise, creating a desire to collect the limited images.
